My encounter with Ayisha took place during a trip through India. What immediately caught my attention was her deep admiration for the Dutch master Vincent van Gogh. When we first spoke, over a decade ago, Ayisha was only 19 years old, full of fire and passion for painting. Her respect for Van Gogh is evident in her powerful brushstrokes and expressive compositions. What touches me most about her work, however, is not her technique, but how her art breathes life itself - an honest and moving reflection of the beauty, pain and emotions of her own life.

Ayisha has since grown into an artist of stature, with work that can be admired in galleries. Her life path gives her work a special depth and makes it increasingly poignant. Yet I believe her work deserves an even wider audience, beyond the walls of galleries and exhibitions. Whether her art graces the back of a phone case or hangs on the wall as a painting, I hope her creativity will also enrich your daily life, as it has done for me.
